When I was in kindergarten, my favorite time of day was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older, I fooled around with painting in between sports and academics. My enjoyment of painting never faded and eventually I took some art classes in college.
I have experimented with oil pastels but prefer watercolors as they create a lighter more whimsical scene..Each idea is given its own interpretation and style. The Artist Calendars was a natural outcome!
I grew up on Long Island Sound and have always enjoyed water scenes. Outdoors and natural beauty have also influenced my paintings so I am drawn to gardens and wildlife, too.
